About the team

The System Administrator, IT Application Excellence is a proficient-level professional responsible for the administration, stability, and continuous improvement of enterprise business applications that enable how our teams work every day. This role focuses on corporate SaaS platforms and application ecosystems, with an emphasis on platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Kantata, Miro, Aha!, and other business-critical systems.

Rather than traditional infrastructure or data center operations, this role is centered on application enablement, optimization, and business partnership. The administrator works closely with business users, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure applications are reliable, well-governed, easy to use, and continuously evolving to deliver real business impact.

A key aspect of this role is participation in AI-related initiatives across supported platforms—helping introduce, configure, govern, and operationalize AI-powered capabilities that improve productivity, decision-making, and user experience.

What you will do

  • Application Administration & Operations
    • Administer, support, and continuously improve enterprise application platforms including ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Kantata, Miro, Aha!, and other corporate systems.
    • Own day-to-day operational health of supported applications, including configuration, access management, integrations, data quality, and usage monitoring.
    • Execute platform changes, enhancements, and upgrades while following established change management, documentation, and governance practices.
    • Manage application roles, permissions, workflows, configurations, and feature enablement in alignment with business needs and compliance requirements.
  • Business Partnership & User Impact
    • Work directly with business users, product owners, and functional teams (HR, Finance, Legal, Professional Services, IT, and others) to understand requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders—proactively identifying opportunities to streamline processes, automate manual work, and improve user experience through application capabilities.
    • Support onboarding, offboarding, and role changes by ensuring accurate and timely access to corporate applications.
  • AI & Automation Initiatives
    • Participate in the implementation and governance of AI-enabled features across supported platforms (e.g., AI-assisted ticket handling, knowledge management, analytics, workflow automation, and reporting).
    • Partner with platform owners and architects to safely introduce AI capabilities while maintaining security, compliance, and data integrity.
    • Identify opportunities where AI, automation, and intelligent workflows can drive measurable productivity and business value.
  • Platform Governance & Reliability
    • Monitor application performance, system alerts, usage patterns, and integrations to proactively prevent issues and ensure high availability.
    • Perform regular reviews of logs, configurations, and platform health to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
    • Maintain accurate technical and functional documentation for internal teams, auditors, and business stakeholders.
    • Serve as an escalation point for complex application issues and collaborate with vendors and internal teams for resolution.
  • Vendor & Cross-Team Collaboration
    • Build strong working relationships with software vendors and implementation partners to support platform operations, enhancements, and roadmap alignment.
    • Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and service teams to test, deploy, and support new features and solutions

What we are looking for

  • Primary Skills and Qualifications
    • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Minimum 4 years of experience administering enterprise or SaaS-based business applications in a corporate environment.
    • Strong analytical, systems-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with comfort working in complex and evolving application ecosystems.
    • Highly adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working across technical and business domains.
    • Clear, concise, and professional communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Role-Specific Skills and Experience
    • Hands-on experience with enterprise application platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Kantata, Miro, Aha!, or similar tools.
    • Solid understanding of ITSM, workflow-based systems, and enterprise application governance.
    • Experience administering users, roles, permissions, workflows, automations, and integrations.
    • Familiarity with AI-enabled platform features, automation, scripting, or low-code/no-code tools is a strong asset.
    • Experience working with established SLAs, operational metrics, and service expectations.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills across application, integration, and user-experience issues.
    • Experience collaborating with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of change management, incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis
