Location
This is a hybrid position. You will be in the Ottawa or Toronto, Canada office, at least three days a week.
The Senior Manager, FP&A is a strategic advisor to senior GTM leaders, responsible for driving the FP&A GTM strategy to support profitable growth. Reporting to the Senior Director of FP&A, this role leads a team in delivering high-quality financial insights, performance measurement, and decision support. In addition to managing a high-performing team, the Senior Manager plays a key role in shaping best
practices across the broader FP&A function. This includes strengthening financial governance, improving the quality and speed of insights, and mentoring team members through direct and indirect leadership.
The ideal candidate brings deep GTM knowledge and strong financial acumen to influence key business outcomes and drive operational efficiency and will develop a deep understanding of their business unit, including people, process flow, tools and data to support insights to enable strategic and impactful decisions.
Be a trusted strategic advisor and sought after partner to executives; provide valuable
performance analysis and reporting to drive effective strategic decision making
Build and evolve the business partnering structure to ensure strategic alignment and effective and efficient support to the business
Lead, coach, and develop a team of direct and indirect reports who are responsible for providing deep analysis and insights to the business
Key member in managing the annual Investment Planning and quarterly forecast process and related tools
Provide monthly analysis and insights on operating results and comparison to forecasts; proactively and expertly adjust as required
Develop and maintain ongoing performance metrics and reporting leveraged by the FP&A team
Prepare of materials to be used in reports to the board of directors and senior leadership
Develop a consolidated view of major initiatives, and provide ongoing decision support and results analysis to business unit managers
Analyze business drivers, identify areas of opportunity and risk, drive improvements, and strengthen Kinaxis long term vision of success
Communicate business unit’s objectives, priorities, and relevant project information to key stakeholders to ensure successful integration with cross functional initiatives
Continuously improve & define new business processes and evolve our ability to provide answers to recurring and ad-hoc requests, including self-serve reporting
Support external reporting requirements and annual/quarterly audit activities
Guide business units to build scalable, maintainable, and efficient solutions that meet strategic corporate objectives
Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
Designated accountant (CA, CMA, CGA) or MBA
7 to 10 years progressive experience in accounting and finance in a high-tech, global, publicly traded organization; seasoned experience leading a team of direct and indirect reports in a FP&A partnering capacity
Experience in a business partnering function partnering with senior leaders to meet business objectives
Industry SME experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to solve complex problems using critical and design thinking, and creativity
Highly adaptable and able to pivot based on prioritization and needs of the business; proactively solicits and delivers feedback to ensure alignment.
An articulate and professionally industry skilled communicator with the ability to provide clear,nconcise messaging to multiple audiences and platforms and deliver strategic updates to senior leadership.
Role Specific Skills and Experience
Strong technical skills in area of specialty (IFRS accounting standards, business management, finance, etc)
Highly proficient in Excel and modeling; experience with Salesforce and/or Power BI is an asset
Demonstrated experience providing exceptional partnership to all Kinaxis levels. including creating and delivering executive level presentations
Significant experience creating business cases backed by financial analysis and modeling, while working cross functionality across Kinaxis
An entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, and customer service attitude
Demonstrated experience leading process and system improvement initiatives and providing change management expertise
