About the team

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, as a fully proficient and seasoned professional with extensive experience, is an SME responsible for managing and executing the end-to-end recruitment process within the organization. The incumbent will focus on talent sourcing, candidate identification, networking and relationship building with potential candidates, attending networking events, and will introduce and monitor best recruitment practices including development and management of Kinaxis recruitment processes, procedures, and systems.

 

The incumbent will collaborate with hiring managers and other stakeholders to understand organizational needs and create a strategic talent acquisition plan. The incumbent works directly with hiring managers to effectively source, assess, and select talent that fit role, culture, and business requirements, and to provide coaching and guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment cycle. They will leverage data to contribute to strategic decisions about global hiring, including region, level, and offering, will contribute to develop and execute talent acquisition programs, guidelines, tools, and processes that ensure a world-class candidate experience and the selection of the very best talent.

What you will do

  • Manage the selection process of positions, including requisition management, development of position descriptions and recruitment strategy, candidate selection, reference and background checks, salary negotiations, and the facilitation of the on-boarding process.

  • Conduct recruitment strategy meetings utilizing market intel with Hiring Managers to ensure a complete understanding of the job requirements, candidate matches, and the qualifications needed to fill the role. Use findings to develop and execute effective sourcing strategies, assessments, and closing approaches.

  • Develop and ensure implementation of high-quality global recruitment, interviewing, selection, and strategic onboarding processes. Build the skills and commitment of hiring managers to follow best practices in all stages of the talent acquisition life cycle.

  • Be a trusted advisor to hiring managers, educating them on the recruitment process, interview techniques and selection criteria, and managing the flow and quality of candidates; develop training materials and facilitate training sessions

  • Ensure that all talent acquisition activities and processes, including job postings and interviews, are executed in a way that fully support and enable the company’s diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and goals; customize the approach as talent is engaged across multiple timezones and cultures

  • Supervise and provide training/coaching and mentorship to other junior recruiters on the team

  • Continually assess the effectiveness of the recruitment & onboarding processes, research best practices, obtain feedback from new hires and hiring managers, and utilize data to refine and improve the processes over time.

  • Develop creative ideas and innovative recruiting techniques to source qualified professionals and a diverse talent pool. (i.e., social media, employee referrals, direct contact recruiting, internet data mining, job boards, and internal/external networks)

  • Manage the Applicant Tracking Systems and database of consultants.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition, and continuously evaluate and enhance recruitment processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  •  

    Network through industry contacts, memberships in professional associations and groups, and through employees

  • Manage candidate communication and relationship management throughout the recruitment lifecycle and educate candidates about Kinaxis’s culture, benefits, and position expectations.

  • Manage external recruiting sources, vendor agreements, candidate submission, and invoice processing.

  • Serve as a Kinaxis representative to candidates. Manage regular communication with contacted candidates throughout the recruitment process in order to build our network and long-term relationships.

Primary Skills we are looking for

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources (or related field)

  • 10+ years of experience in progressively senior talent acquisition roles, in-house preferred

  • Experience working with a broad range of teams including Corporate Services teams (Finance, HR, Legal, IT, Marketing), Customer Support, Sales and Professional Services, in a high-tech, global environment

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high sense of urgency and an inventive approach to work through ambiguity and complex issues

  • Highly adaptable and able to pivot based on prioritization and needs of the business

  • Agile and resilient in managing multiple projects with multiple sources of information

  • A clear, concise, and professional communicator with the ability to present information and demonstrate knowledge to stakeholders at varying levels within the business

  • Excellent data analysis skills with a well-developed ability to think analytically and present various analyses in a useful and understandable format

  • Strong work ethic, a high respect for confidentiality and sound professional judgment and initiative

  • Strong accountability and responsibility to meet aggressive deadlines

What we are looking for

  • Experience performing end-to-end recruitment cycle in a high-growth environment

  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with a passion for using data to drive decision making

  • Knowledge of recruiting database systems including applicant tracking systems

  • Ability to influence and negotiate

  • Proven ability to balance a high number of open positions, managing roles globally across multiple teams and departments and locations.

  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to tie an organization’s business drivers to its hiring needs

  • Strong customer service orientation along with a high degree of attention to detail and sensitivity to confidential information. Must be a self-starter and demonstrate total quality in their approach to all assignments

  • Knowledge of employment and related legislation (Human Rights Code, and Employment Standards Act), contractual obligations, and sound human resource practices

  • Presentation Skills: Expert in creating professional, business-ready presentations in PowerPoint, designed to support management reviews, hiring trends, and project updates. Skilled in storytelling with data and presenting insights to stakeholders.
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications with advanced-level knowledge in Excel—including the use of formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, macros, and automation to support reporting and data management needs.
  • Strong sourcing capabilities to find top talent by leveraging social networks, research tools, as well as more creative techniques to identify potential talent

  • Strong interviewing and assessment skills, including behavioural interviewing techniques, and the ability to drive and manage the full recruitment cycle
