About the team

The Corporate Systems team plays a critical role in keeping the organization running smoothly. We are responsible for managing on-premises servers, maintaining robust security protocols, and overseeing the smooth operation of SaaS applications. Our team's efforts ensure that all systems are reliable and secure, allowing the company to focus on its core mission and drive success.

What you will do

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Systems, the Microsoft 365 Analyst will lead the strategic direction and optimization of the Microsoft 365 platform at Kinaxis. As the primary expert in Microsoft technologies, this role will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the Microsoft Center of Excellence (CoE) to drive adoption, maximize collaboration, and ensure the full potential of Microsoft 365 products and services. This role will involve evaluating and recommending Microsoft products, acting as the SME for implementation projects, and ensuring that Microsoft 365 delivers measurable ROI for the organization.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Microsoft Center of Excellence Leadership: Establish and manage the Microsoft Center of Excellence at Kinaxis, setting best practices, governance, and standards for the adoption and use of Microsoft technologies across the organization.
  • Collaboration and Productivity Solutions: Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-wide solutions using Microsoft 365, Power Platform, GenAI, Azure, and other Microsoft technologies to enhance collaboration, communication, and productivity across teams.
  • SME Support and Implementation: Provide expert guidance on Microsoft 365 implementations, including troubleshooting, gap assessments, and strategic advice for optimizing the use of Microsoft solutions.
  • License Optimization & ROI: Identify opportunities for optimizing Microsoft 365 licenses, ensuring that the organization is getting the most value out of its Microsoft products and services, and driving ROI from the platform.
  • Release Management & Updates: Oversee the documentation and communication of Microsoft 365 release activities, ensuring that the organization is informed and prepared for new features and updates.
  • Consultation & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with both business and IT teams to address challenges with Microsoft 365 solutions, drive user adoption, and ensure alignment with business goals to maximize the value of Microsoft technologies.
  • Service Requests Management: Handle ServiceNow requests and tasks related to Microsoft 365 as needed, ensuring timely resolutions and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 services.
  • Internal Communication & Training: Lead internal communications for the Microsoft Center of Excellence, including the development of newsletters, feature updates, and responses to Microsoft-related inquiries. Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to ensure effective use of Microsoft products.

  • Active Directory for user authentication.
  • ServiceNow as our ITSM solution.
  • Okta for SSO (Single Sign-On) solutions.
  • Windows 10/11 and MacOS as our desktop OSs

What we are looking for

  • Microsoft 365 Suite Expertise: Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 technologies, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, Azure, Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Security Solutions. Understanding of future product roadmaps and trends.
  • SME & Implementation Support: Proven ability to act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 and related technologies, providing guidance on complex implementations and technical solutions.
  • License Optimization: Experience optimizing Microsoft 365 license usage to drive cost efficiencies and ensure that the organization derives maximum value from its subscriptions.
  • Troubleshooting & Technical Support: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for resolving technical issues across Microsoft technologies.
  • ITIL & Enterprise IT Infrastructure: Experience in an ITIL-based enterprise environment and a strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, including user authentication, cloud computing, and Microsoft solutions.

 

Academic Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science with 4+ years of experience in an enterprise IT environment.
  • MCSE or equivalent, and certifications in Microsoft 365 (Fundamentals, Power Platform Fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals, Security & Compliance Fundamentals)
