Our newest office is based in Irving’s Las Colinas development and will serve as a centralized hub where employees and customers from across the US can come together to work towards solving some of the biggest challenges facing supply chains.

This is a remote position. You can work from home and be located anywhere in USA.

About the team

The Director, Business Development is responsible for enabling and supporting our team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to achieve their goals and drive revenue growth our largest revenue driving region. Reporting to the EVP, Field Sales, you will play a critical role in coaching, mentoring, and providing resources to empower our BDRs to succeed.

What you will do

  • Lead a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) and a Manager, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help them achieve their individual and team targets. 
  • Develop and deliver enablement resources, tools, and training programs to empower BDRs to effectively identify and qualify leads, articulate Kinaxis's value proposition, and overcome objections. 
  • Drive continuous evolution of processes, methodologies, and workflows, adopting a global lens to introducing improvements.
  • Build collaborative partnerships with Regional Sales VPs, aligning teams in focused verticals and target accounts. 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline lead generation, qualification, and handoff processes to ensure seamless collaboration between BDRs and Account Executives.
  • Allocate resources effectively to support BDRs in their day-to-day activities, including access to marketing materials, sales collateral, and CRM systems. Ensure BDRs have the necessary tools and resources localized to their regions to succeed in their roles.
  • Monitor and track BDR performance metrics, including lead generation, qualification rates, and conversion rates. 
  • Provide regular performance updates and reports to leadership, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the EVP, Sales, NA to ensure alignment and integration of business development efforts with overall GTM objectives
  • Serve as a liaison between BDRs and other members in the Commercial Operations team to facilitate communication and collaboration.
  • Foster and maintain excellent working relationships with the greater sales function and marketing teams ensuring alignment, coordinating strategies, and sharing insights.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 years of proven business to business work experience as a qualified business/market/sales development representative.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a management capacity, leading and guiding revenue driving teams.
  • Experience working with or leading remote teams and first line managers.
  • Ideally experience in Supply Chain Planning, Management, or working for a company with a complex solution.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing, sales, and business processes, and protocols in a similar industry.
  • Excellent coaching and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members across diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Valid passport is required, ability to travel as required (up to 20%)
