About the team

The biggest companies in the world use Maestro every day to solve their supply chain challenges.  Our team owns an incredibly powerful supply chain planning engine.  This engine stores and serves the data and performs calculations with incredible speed, accuracy and reliability.  

We’ve just embarked on an ambitious and transformational project to put cloud first - rewrite our planning engine and update it with the newest technologies and approaches.  At the same time, we need to support all our existing customers.  It’s an ambitious project!  We’re unleashing the team’s creativity and innovation to support more users, more customers, more data, more calculations, faster performance.  

What you will do

In this role, you will develop test automation using a variety of technologies (Java, Go, etc.) that will ensure reliability of our new architecture. You may also be tasked with developing or expanding the features of our data management service.

 

  • Design, implement and enhance one or more test automation frameworks for the cloud-native backend system
  • Contribute to the implementation and testing of new functionality
  • Design and implement tests at all test levels: integration, contract, etc.
  • Elaborate the work required to implement and test new functionality. Create and evaluate work items, test plans and strategies.
  • Enhance product quality by preventing, finding and fixing bugs and by measuring and improving product performance
  • Actively participate in feature design and test plan reviews
  • Contribute to a variety of activities throughout the feature development lifecycle, including maintaining environments, triaging failures, etc.

What we are looking for

  • Demonstrated history of contributing features to a production code or automated test framework
  • Solid experience and strong skills in automation and test framework development using various languages and technologies (Java, Go, RPC)
  • Ability to extract test plans from project requirements and implement automated tests based on the test plans.
  • High- and low-level design skills – describe the problem at a high level, abstract the problem, break it down into implementable pieces.

 

Highly desired skills & experience

  • 2-4 years of relevant software test automation experience
  • Cloud knowledge, including Kubernetes (K8s) for orchestrating containerized environments and Docker for containerization)  
  • Experience designing and implementing database and query engines  
  • Experience developing distributed, cloud-based enterprise software 
  • Ability to write performant code, ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks
