Our Rotterdam office is a highly collaborative and flexible workspace located near the central railway station in the heart of the city. Our office serves as a centralized hub where employees and customers can come together to work towards solving some of the biggest challenges facing supply chains.  

Location

This is a hybrid position. You can be located in Rotterdam, Netherlands. You will be expected to be in our Rotterdam office 3 days per week.

About the team

The Regional HR Advisor, EMEA provides local employee and people manager HR support across the Netherlands, UK, and other EMEA locations to enhance the employee experience, engagement, and retention. This role focuses on implementation and administration of HR policies and programs within their regions in partnership with other HR sub-functions and our global HR strategy and ensuring compliance to local regulations.

 

The incumbent will work with our Functional HR Business Partners and HR Centre of Expertise colleagues on needs assessment, piloting/testing and implementation of enterprise-wide programs and practices within their geographical regions. When necessary to meet portfolio-specific needs, the incumbent will collaborate with Employee Relations, Manager Support, HRBPs, and HR Centres of Expertise to adapt enterprise-wide programs.

What you will do

  • Implement and align global HR policies locally, liaising with local legal counsel to ensure the inclusion of country-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Provide region-specific insight and input into HR Centres of Expertise during needs assessment, development and enhancement of global policies, processes, and programs and HR knowledgebase content.
  • Implement global HR programs locally and ensure delivery of superior employee experience throughout the employee life cycle while ensuring alignment with global HR strategy.
  • Provide local HR support and coaching to managers on employee relations issues, global and local policies, and HR processes, sharing trends and escalating issues as required to HR Business Partners
  • Partner with members of the Talent Acquisition team to provide country-specific guidance and to assist with candidate questions and experience.
  • Support the set up of and collaborate with Employee Representative bodies (such as Works Councils) in Romania, France, and Netherlands, providing guidance and ensuring compliance.
  • Address region-specific enquiries and issues escalated from the HR Services Hub, while providing local language support and ensuring coordination for the integration of HR project needs.
  • Collaborate with HR Centres of Expertise and HR Business Partnering stakeholders to drive employee engagement initiatives and support global talent programs, including learning and development, performance management, rewards and recognition, and career pathing etc.
  • Support global onboarding, analyze exit interview feedback for trends and risks, and collaborate with the Total Rewards team to develop and refine compensation programs for the region.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field, or combination of relevant work experience and education
  • 5 years of experience in progressive regional HR generalist/specialist roles
  • Experience in large, global, high-tech organizations are an asset.
  • Bilingual fluency in Dutch and English
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders across different countries.
  • Highly adaptable and able to pivot based on prioritization and needs of the business; proactively solicits feedback to ensure alignment.
  • Resilient with a sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast paced, innovation driven, and ambiguous environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills and the ability to prioritize business needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Collaborative approach and ability to partner cross-functionally across various departments.
  • Strong foundation and knowledge of principles and practices of HR, including local employment law and compliance requirements across multiple European countries.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with employee representatives (such as Works Councils)
