Location

This is a remote/hybrid position. You can work from home and be located anywhere in Canada, please note if you are located in Ottawa we work a hybrid schedule where you will be expected in office 3 days per week.

 

About the team

The Certification Program Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, development, implementation, maintenance and management of professional certification programs. This role requires a dynamic individual with experience of running an end-to-end certification program. The Certification Program Manager ensures the programs align with industry standards and meet the needs of both the organization and its stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Design and develop certification programs that align with industry standards and organizational goals.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of certification programs, including content creation, testing, assessment, and credentialing processes.
  • Regularly review and update certification materials to ensure relevance and accuracy.
  • Ability to utilize current technologies such as AI in Certification programs
  • Collaborate with industry and subject-matter experts, instructors, Authorized Training partners and stakeholders to identify emerging trends such as use of AI in certification programs and incorporate them into the strategy
  • Build and maintain relationships with certification candidates, industry partners, and accrediting bodies.
  • Manage multiple certification projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of program milestones.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams in the execution of certification program initiatives.
  • Ensure all certification programs comply with industry standards and accreditation requirements. Working knowledge of GDPR and other regulatory compliance requirements is mandatory.
  • Develop and execute strategies to promote certification programs to target audiences.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Track and analyze program performance data, including enrolment numbers, pass rates, and candidate feedback.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on program outcomes and areas for improvement.
  • Utilize data to make informed decisions on program enhancements and new certification offerings.
  • Manage against a budget for certification programs, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Identify and allocate resources required for program development and implementation.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, instructors, and external partners as necessary.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Certification management.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Creation of technical assessments including Item writing and psychometric working knowledge is a mandatory skill set required for this role.
  • Familiarity with certification standards, accreditation processes, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
