Location

This is a hybrid position. You must be in the Ottawa, Canada office, at least three days a week. 

 

About the team

The Site Reliability Engineering team is responsible for the delivery, management, and monitoring of Kinaxis products and cloud infrastructure in our production offerings. We are responsible for ensuring service availability and performance to our customers globally, 7x24x365. We develop automation geared towards production operations using modern platform tooling.

 

This is an 8 or 12-month position starting in January 2025. 

What you will do

As a member of our Site Reliability Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering Software-as-a-Service to our customers globally.

  • Deliver customer excellence, making sure we meet all SLAs.
  • Work in a highly collaborative team.
  • Deploy, upgrade, and support numerous applications, services and operating systems.
  • Exposure to infrastructure; VMWare, Kubernetes, networking, etc.
  • Exposure to public clouds; Azure and GCP.
  • Troubleshoot system performance and application health issues.
  • Take ownership and accountability of the incident resolution process.
  • Must adhere to all security and confidentiality requests for this position.
  • May perform work on additional projects upon request.

What we are looking for

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary diploma or degree program in computer science or a related discipline.
  • Proven strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of remote system administration.
  • Understanding of system performance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of modern SaaS technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident due to CGRP security requirements.
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Ansible is considered an asset.
