About the team

As a Business Consultant dedicated to supporting our VAR (Value Added Reseller) channel in EMEA, you will be in an exciting new role at Kinaxis.

 

In this capacity, you will work closely on sales campaigns with different VARs to ensure that we are demoing Maestro to solve our prospects challenges. You will also provide VARs with the training, coaching and mentorship required for conducting effective discoveries and best practices related to software demonstrations. This role works in tandem with the sales organization focusing on all activities that will ensure target sales achievement and total customer satisfaction

What you will do

  • Represent Kinaxis as part of a VAR sales team.
  • Act as a coach to enable VARs to become more self-sufficient.
  • Support any VAR demo related activities (as required) as part of the pursuit (discovery, qualification, software demonstration)
  • On an occasional basis, you may be required for a non VAR opportunity but this will be only in a secondary support capacity.
  • Assist in identifying the customer’s needs and key stakeholders in the purchase decision.
  • Work closely with the rest of your Business Consulting colleagues to share best practices and knowledge.
  • Construct and deliver custom demos alongside the VAR business consulting team, sometimes using customer provided data. This may involve the configuration of unique Maestro resources (workbooks, task flows, scorecards, etc.).
  • Where necessary create and deliver supplementary presentation materials in support of customer specific demonstrations.
  • Consistently follow the VAR sales process which includes ensuring that key deliverables are delivered.
  • Proactively provide effective feedback to product management on product gaps and improvement areas.

What we are looking for

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, supply chain, computer science or process engineering.  Graduate degree (MBA or MS) preferred.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of supply chain management and consulting and/or enterprise pre-sales experience and domain expertise in one or more of the 5 key industries served (Automotive, High-Tech, Pharma/Lifesciences, Aerospace and Defense, CPG)
  • Previous direct or indirect experience managing or mentoring a team.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain fundamentals, industry best practices, and available solutions in the SCM / ERP space.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate the value of supply chain management solutions through compelling presentations.  Experience in developing and presenting concise point of views to convey the value of technology solutions and services.
  • Adaptable with strong initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast paced environment
  • Consultative sales savvy – appropriately positions software capabilities and interacts across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work jointly cross functional (sales, consulting, support, product management) with internal teams to achieve desired revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
