About the Role

The Regional HR Partner, India, will play a key role in supporting and executing global and regional HR strategies across India. This role requires a seasoned HR professional who can partner with various HR sub-functions and business leaders to ensure the delivery of superior employee experience and drive the alignment of global HR policies and programs with local business needs. The incumbent will work closely with HR Centres of Expertise (CoEs), HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and HR Services to address and resolve regional HR issues and support the implementation of global initiatives.

What you will do

  • Partner with functional HRBP’s and partner with local leaders to execute and evaluate HR programs locally, including leadership development, annual talent cycles and compensation planning, employee engagement, job design and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with HR CoEs, HR Partners, and HR Services in the needs assessment, design, implementation, and evaluation of people programs and practices, ensuring they meet the strategic needs of the business in India.
  • Build relationships with regional business leaders to drive HR Programs and provide coaching to next-level leaders to align with core company values and enhance leadership capabilities around people programs such as performance development, and compensation reviews.
  • Analyze people reports, dashboards, and datasets to make quality, data-drive insights, recommendations, and decisions relevant to the Indian region.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to support current and future hiring needs in India.
  • Collaborate with HRBP’s and HR CoE teams, to influence, pilot, implement, and embed HR policies, programs, and initiatives within the business units they support in India.
  • Provide region-specific insight and input to HR Centres of Expertise during needs assessment, development, and development of global HR policies, processes, and programs ensuring local nuances in India are considered.
  • Implement and ensure alignment of global HR policies locally and liaise with legal counsel to ensure the inclusion of country-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Support employee relations and investigations. Partner with local HR support on execution of our performance management process managing employee relations issues, global and local policies, and HR processes, sharing trends and escalating issues as required to HRBP’s and Legal teams.
  • Address and resolve region-specific inquiries and issues escalated from the HR Services Hub, ensuring alignment with the local legal framework.
  • Support and collaborate with Employee Representatives bodies, providing HR expertise and ensuring compliance with local labor laws and practices.
  • Support change management efforts to drive organizational initiatives and business transformations within India.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to employees and HR team, fostering a high-performance culture.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field, or combination of relevant work experience and education preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in progressive regional HR generalist/specialist roles in a large, global, high- tech organization
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills and the ability to prioritize business needs
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to make decisions on day-to-day activities and escalate timely
  • Collaborative approach and ability to partner cross-functionally across various departments
  • Ability to work in an agile, dynamic, rapid-changing environment by prioritizing situations which require sense of urgency
  • Good understanding of a global HR structure and related needs

Role specific Skills and expereince

  • Foundation and knowledge of principles and practices of HR, including local employment law and compliance requirements across multiple Asian countries
  • Effective communication skills with bilingual fluency in English and a local language; knowledge of additional languages is an asset
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to use sound judgement to drive complex issues to resolution and influence to achieve result in an agile environment
