About the team

The Senior Software Automation Developer, as a fully proficient seasoned professional, is responsible for designing, testing, and implementing features that are advanced in complexity and span across multiple teams and

substantial areas of code.

 

The incumbent actively engages with junior developers to act as a guide and mentor on projects to grow and develop their skills. They act as technical advisors to managers and team leads and as a subject matter expert in one or more areas may also interact with customers and Global Customer Care teams in management of critical escalations.

 

In this role, you will develop test automation using a variety of technologies (TypeScript, C#, TestCafe, etc.) that will bring the power of Maestro technology to an expanding user community. A successful candidate may also be tasked with developing or expanding features of the Maestro platform.

What you will do

  • Create test automation using TypeScript/C#
  • Create and review test plan/strategies for new functionality
  • Collaborate closely with development partners and contribute to design and implementation of product features
  • Enhance product quality by fixing bugs, and improving product performance
  • Collaborate with other Development, Quality Assurance, User Experience, and Documentation teams to deliver new features
  • Contribute to a variety of test activities throughout the feature development lifecycle, including maintaining test environments, triaging failures, etc.

What we are looking for

  • Post-secondary education where software design is a core competency of the program e.g., Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of work with experience in Automation Testing
  • Experience with manual testing of software applications
  • Experience with a variety of test frameworks (TestCafe, Playwright, Jest, NUnit, etc.)
  • Clear, concise, and professional communicator with the ability to present complex information and demonstrate knowledge with direct and indirect teams at the appropriate level for the listener.
  • Open mindset for learning and improving
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
    What we are looking for

Things that would definitely help

Experience with:

  • JavaScript, TypeScript, C#
  • At least one front end framework (React, Vue, Angular, etc.)
  • CSS and layout strategies like flexbox, grid
  • Functional programming principles
  • Git
  • Familiarity with build tools like Jenkins is preferred
