About the team

Kinaxis is on the lookout for an Engineering Manager for the Algorithms team. The team consists of collaborative, high-performing engineers with the mandate to build, enhance and maintain algorithms that optimize complex supply chains. Our algorithms move the global economy-- in seconds, not hours, or days. Our customers have terabytes of data that needs to be analyzed for the largest supply chains imaginable. If you are interested to solve these complex problems at scale, this is the place to be.

What you will do

  • You will lead an engineering team dedicated to creating and maintaining algorithms that will be used to solve complex supply chain problems.
  • You will guide your team to design, build and automate applications to meet the business roadmap for Maestro
  • Collaborate closely with your agile team members and other stakeholders in India and Canada
  • Assist in producing the detailed functional requirements and specifications for roadmap features
  • Promote software development best practices and participate in code reviews
  • Set challenging and achievable goals for team members and provide feedback on performance
  • Experience in Supply Chain software and Operations Research is a definite plus

What we are looking for

  • Bachelors/master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Total 14+ years of industry experience, predominantly in building server-side Java applications for the web
  • 5+ years in leading an engineering team
  • At least 3 years’ experience in building Enterprise software product
  • Experience in building REST APIs
  • Good understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines and containerization
  • The commitment to help every member of your team perform better
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Nice to have:

  • Familiar with any one of the public cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Experience working with stakeholders and distributed teams across the world
  • Willingness to jump in and code if the situation demands.
