About the team

The Operations Research Manager heads a team of skilled engineers dedicated to crafting algorithms that streamline supply chains. Have you ever pondered how your new smartphone seamlessly integrates hundreds of parts from suppliers worldwide? Kinaxis tackles challenges like these daily.

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers in developing industry-leading Supply Chain Management solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to grasp requirements and deliver cutting-edge solutions integrating advanced heuristics and optimization.
  • Drive research initiatives to integrate large-scale optimization and machine learning into mission-critical supply chain management solutions.
  • Take full ownership of product development and quality assurance processes.
  • Lead the design, prototyping and implementation of the mathematical models.

Technologies we use

  • C++ for core development
  • Commercial mathematical solvers
  • State of the art in-memory analytics technology
  • Visual Studio, JIRA, Confluence, Git
  • Sophisticated internal testing tools to validate correctness and performance
  • Virtual and cloud infrastructure for development, support and testing

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in engineering management, with a proven track record of leading and scaling high-performing teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in Operations Research, demonstrating successful delivery of industry-grade software solutions.
  • Experience in creating mathematical models of real-world optimization problems.
  • Working knowledge in machine learning models and algorithms.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial solvers (Gurobi, Xpress, CPLEX).
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and experience with unit testing methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering​ or Computer Science.
