About the team

Our customers have the largest supply chains imaginable. The scale, complexity, and volume of data driving those supply chains continues to grow. We build tools that make bringing that data into our platform, and managing it, possible. We’re continuously improving to keep pace with an ever-evolving modern data landscape.

As a senior developer in the team, you have deep experience building public APIs and customer-facing data management tools for an enterprise software platform. You understand the challenges of data and system integration and the importance of public APIs in addressing them. You know what it takes to manage data from a single event to the batch workloads required for AI/ML. You’re familiar with related areas like data quality, governance, and API lifecycle management.

What you will do

  • Design and build platform APIs and customer-facing tools for data management, considering multiple perspectives such as security, testability, maintainability, performance, etc.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders
  • Provide guidance and support to junior developers
  • Shape the future direction of API and data management in our platform

What we are looking for

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent related discipline
  • 7-10 years of progressive enterprise software development experience
  • A deep understanding of data management and related tools and technologies
  • Disciplined approach to software testing including unit testing and continuous integration
  • Ability to work in *nix environments and in the cloud with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with the Kubernetes ecosystem (Helm, Argo, Hera and Argo CD)
  • Good skills and experience with distributed computing architectures (e.g. Spark, Hive)
  • Some knowledge of Apache Beam, its supported execution runners, and sources and sinks
  • Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g. data catalogs)
  • Experience working with major cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
  • Informed opinions about good practices in APIM and experience leveraging APIs for third-party integration; past work with developer portals would be an asset
  • Familiarity with the supply chain management data domain
