About the team

The biggest companies in the world use RapidResponse every day to solve their supply chain challenges.  Our team owns its incredibly powerful supply chain planning engine.  This engine stores and serves the data and performs calculations with incredible speed, accuracy and reliability.

 

The core of our supply chain planning engine is our own proprietary database and query engine, optimized for Supply chain.  As Kinaxis enters different areas of the supply chain market, there are always interesting new problems for the team.  Customers’ on-going demand for more data and more users provides us with continual opportunities to enhance scalability, performance and robustness. 

What you will do

  • Manage a back end team. Be accountable for their work and deliverables
  • Balance requests to enhance our performance, scalability and tooling with maintaining high quality and robustness
  • Prepare your team for the future by guiding them to learn new languages, processes and cloud deployment technologies
  • Constantly monitor results from our sophisticated automated test environment and use these results to drive the team’s work and make decisions about ship readiness.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance and other development teams, ensuring efficient product delivery
  • Be a champion for change
  • Maintain a high-performing team. Continuously challenge your top talent. Coach and guide high-potential individuals
  • Track and monitor key metrics
  • Give organizational visibility to the important work done by your team and the challenges they overcome
  • Actively develop a talent pipeline through networking, attending career fairs and other events
  • Proactively push important information and updates up your management chain

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years experience in software development, ideally back end
  • 3+ years experience in a management role
  • Proven ability to deliver enterprise class software
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to understand complex software problems and explain them to various audiences
  • Experience with cloud technologies and cloud-native software would make you stand out
  • Demonstrated achievements in substantially improving team processes or SDLC
  • Experience delivering technically complex large-scope projects requiring coordination across multiple teams
